JR Direct sports day brings out the Sun

Sports day pitted "Los Banditos Rojos", "Lil Huevos", "Zabada", and "Three Bitches and a Maybe" in a friendly battle of athletics, whit, and water balloons. JR Direct’s annual sports day was finally able to happen last Friday as the rain broke for a moment of sunshine here on the Pacific coast.

The day started like a scene from Gangs of New York, in a convergence of teams, all ready to do battle at Lions Park.  The Banditos appeared emblazoned in red shouting in strange tongues was it Portuguese? Was it Spanish? Who knows… The tone of the competition was quickly set by the crafty rule manipulation of Lil Huevo’s  The chaos continued through the rest of the games culminating with an intense volley of water balloons that caused the athletes to scatter.

First place went to Lil Huevos followed closely by Zabada, but by all accounts, everyone had a fantastic time. All teams expressed their thanks to the others, and the gauntlet has been cast for the same time next year.
