Top Secret - JR Direct's Annual Christmas Party

On a dark and cold evening in December, the JR Direct staff and spouses entered into a world of spies and intrigue to celebrate the 2006 holiday season. Everywhere you looked there were James Bond, Bond Girls, and some menacing Villains, everyone dressed in attire fitting for a 007 themed Christmas Party.

The evening began with a delicious turkey buffet dinner, followed by games, contests, and dancing! The first contest was for best costume in the following categories…

Best Bond – There were so many handsome men wearing tuxedos, this was a hard decision. The award for Best Bond went to Jennifer Cowden’s husband, Laurence Cowden. It didn’t hurt that he’s Scottish!

Best Bond Girl – Although all of the ladies looked amazing, Natasha Burbidge won as Best Bond Girl. She got extra points for coming to the party in a bikini!

Best Villain – Some of the infamous villains present included a couple of Emilio Largos, Max Zorin, but the winner was Danny Kwan who made a great Odd Job.

The rest of the evening’s entertainment included: Skits by the List Sales Team and the Management Team, a Gadget Building Contest where each table received a bag of miscellaneous items to create a gadget for James Bond to use to thwart villains, and a Battle of the Sexes Game to see which gender knows most about the other.

A big Thank You to the 2006 Social Committee for planning this great event – a great time was had by all!
