The JR Direct Newly Wed Game Show!

The 2006 JR Direct Social Committee’s debut event was the JR Direct Newly Wed Game Show along with an amazing potluck Chocolate & Dessert Buffet.

The Chocolate & Dessert Buffet consisted of homemade chocolate truffles & cherry fudge, chocolate mousse in chocolate cups with whipped cream & strawberries, doughnuts, chocolate chip cookies, chocolate trifle, cookie pizza, chocolate cream cake, ice cream sundaes, Nanaimo bars, brownies, and a variety of other assorted cakes, candies and chocolates.

After overindulging in the dessert buffet, it was time to play the JR Direct Newly Wed Game. Participants were paired up randomly to answer questions about their partner. The questions and the subsequent answers were so funny that we all had stomachaches from laughing so hard (not to mention from the vast volume of chocolate and desserts consumed). We definitely got to know a more personal side of our co-workers!

And the winning “newly wed couple” was…Jennifer Cowden and Anita Lal, both from the List Brokerage and List Management departments, with an astounding 9 out of 10 answers correct! They claim that they know each other so well from years of traveling to Trade Shows together. Hmmmm….the rest of us think that there were some sort of hand signals going on. Congratulations to the winning “newly wed couple”!
