JR Direct's “PMS” Session

The benefits of PMS, a JR Direct newly developed List Brokerage & List Management System, was presented to JR Direct during a lunch session on March 23rd.

The name at times has been fairly accurate considering the pain involved in getting this project off the ground, but since this session many are now asking when they can get PMS for themselves!

JR Direct is continually sourcing more efficient and effective ways to do business. After searching fruitlessly for a system that could meet our order entry and marketing requirements it was determined that no system currently on the market comes close. If we wanted a superior system we would have to build it ourselves.

PMS stands for Prospects Management System (PMS) and is being developed in house with an objective of increasing the volume and accuracy of the orders we process as well as improve our access, and therefore our clients’ access to information required for order approvals and list analysis.

This project is slated for development in 3 phases. The first phase is nearing testing and is eagerly anticipated to change the way we do business. Phase 1 encompasses:

  • CRM Module including the ability to model relationships between parties.
  • Enhanced Product Module that incorporates not only DM Lists (data cards) but also Alternative Media and Consumer Products (which will be mainly linked to offers). Also the module is able to keep information about multiple vendors for the same product including pricing and commissions specific to the vendor of the product.
  • Recommendation Module that assists in and tracks list marketing efforts.

The work isn’t over and we expect great things from the implementation of this new JR Direct attribute.
